damn. i m now suffering from the repercussions of my ignorance and stupidity…moment of foolishness. and i allways perceived myself to be reasonably IT-savvy.now i m probably demoted to an IT-idiot…

the story goes like this. about two weeks ago, smeone on my msn list popped me a msg, which is smething like http://userid.xxx.net the userid , being her email id on msn.

Stupidity @ work no. 1 – Having the kpo auntie trait in me, i behaved exactly like one. I tried to click on the link. No hyperlink.

Idiotic @ work no. 2 – I copied the url and pasted in my firefox.

Moron @ work no. 3 – If the above isn’t enough, the site did open and provided me with 2 boxes : 
MSN Email: _____ Password: ______

Ultimate fool —> guess what? i entered both and clicked ”Enter”.

The site shown me sme farni pictures. Fark it… i knew i have lost it. i sms-ed my fren immediately and asked if she has just msn-ed me. a 1 word reply sealed my fate - “No”. Did anyone hear my heart skip a beat? damn it.

Over the subsequent week, occasionally logged on the msn network, i got logged out and get this msg —> “You have been logged on another computer, click xxx….”

I changed my msn password, spent 100 bucks on a portable HDD, backed up my data and formatted my laptop.

Just as when i thought the saga is over and peace again, deb asked me this morning : “nana, why you send me a link to ask me to buy smoke bud? u posted on my wall somemore. ”

Yup u got it there. my facebook account as well. #()$*#)($@*#*()(#$#*()(@#)(@  . Logged into my facebook account and realised that i have posted on every single friend of mine and groups i have joined the same thing.
