gamblers, please fall in.

ok. din managed to go to T3 today…. si yi landed at T2 instead. from adelaide. brot lotsa chocolates back after tim brot his buys from U.S. compensated. :) then went to ah ma hse for dinner. quite a scrumptious meal today. loved everythin.. yummm yumm… kudos to sanyi! haha shall post pics of them one day.

the activity of the family these days is either mahjong or si sek (四色)/ dua di. i m sure most ppl have seen mahjong, si sek looks like this:

-將-士-相-車-馬-炮-卒-

four colours for each character : red, yellow, green and white. sanyi was saying the mahjong game was going extinct soon and recently picked up by the young. I say the si sek is the one. From young, i have always been given the impression that si sek is bad (worse than mahjong), that its illegal, ppl who play this is low class. But this is more difficult than mahjong i tell u. i mean, if u noe mahjong rulz, u need a bit more to grasp this game, not to mention holding the cards properly in place with my clumsy big hand. but its fun with alot of ppl playing and its not restricted to only 4 players, unlike mahjong.

haha… that day, when i went to OHJ’s hse and dropped by bt panjang sme shoppin place to grab food, i passed by the hardware shop. surprised that shop has it, and the uncle asked me to his bewilderment, i mean, really amazed with his big eyes open: “你會啊??真的阿?? 有沒有名片,留一張,下次要人教打給你…” to which i replied it was my ah ma who taught me the game and she with my aunties are the real expert, i m jus a noob. my 笨師父 LFC can attest to that… keke… i mean ya. the purpose was to play with my ah ma to stimulate her brain and let her think more, hence the mahjong and the si sek thingy, if not, i think me and my sis would not even be learning it and be lost i guess. it was difficult and i think i have so much more to learn man. but i m happy that i managed to master it with the gambling trait in my bones and yes, it’s my hand in the above pic. ;)

but glad that with our “efforts”, *wink*, ah ma looks a little more lively and combined with the physiotherapy, i saw her manage to stand up quite fast yesterday. Thanks alot to my mum and my aunties, who conscientiously came down, kept her company, and many other stuffs. My ah ma used to prepare lotsa good food for us on every sat without fail and she will always reserve the best for her children and 5 grand children, i m proud to be one of them and I would not hesitate to tag her the BEST GRANDMA in the world any point in time. After sloggin for so many years, she has relinquished her duties (cuz she has no strength to lift things and cant stand and walk for too long), so her job every weekend when we go down, is to gamble with us. =) not to be called the Principal of Sisek for nothing u noe. heehee…

i juz realised that i forgot to bring back the bacon flown all the way back from adelaide. shuuttt….
