oktoberfest

hahhaa nana bot this over the weekend!!

this only appears during the oktoberfest and i like the beer glasses very much!! as much as i love the beer.

the package, $24,95 comes with two beer glasses, 2 bottles of erdinger white and dark each, and 6 coasters. only available at thomson plaza and bukit timah ntuc. (i mean of cuz it may come out in other supermarts like cold storage and stuff la, but being a typical sillyporean, i m kiasu). so, on a leisure saturday, i popped over, which is about 15 mins from my hse…

i got there, couldnt find it at the beer section, went over to ask the counter. Hey! i not gg to go home without asking alrite…. then this ah tiong came over (these days ah tiongs infest our supermarkets, eateries, if u realise by now….), he is in charge of the beer section. He said with a fucking blur and frowning expression, err…dunno, we keep asking for stocks, but we also dunno when the stock is coming….

i was about to call NTUC hotline to complain liao. How can u advertise something and announce very very prominently that the promo period is 18 SEp to 27 Sep, but NO stocks?????

just as i was gonna take the shuttle bus back home (fwee by the way!! hee), realised i juz missed it, so i tot i go back and look ard.

Lucky day! i went back, i saw the manager scolding the same ah tiong not the loud kind la… bleah.. but i spotted a box saying “Erdinger Festive Pack”. bleah……i gotta hang ard, and wait for him to finish. took abt 5 mins leh. but i find it shiok that he got scolded… heee….

then after the lashing, he knew what wanted, he opened up the only box and handed me a pack. He told me that they ordered 10 boxes, but only managed to get 1 box… kaoz… grabbed liao… so now i m the proud owner of two  erdinger glasses la.. =)

then i went to take the fwee shuttle bus back home. Nbz. gei zua… i was supposed to drop off at ave 4, but i tot the bus would turn into st 21. DIDNT!. so in the end, i went with the shuttle bus one big round, back into thomson plaza and then back home again.gei zua har?

but yesterday was damn shiok. rainy, relaxed saturday.

and long weekend this week!!

midlife crisis

am i  approaching that? having just passed the quarter life one?

i dunno if i m being too negative or i tink too much. even pool is going against me.

F**k it, you dunno how upset i was. if i lost to the gals in E*, it wouldn’t be that bad but i could have won. Easily.

Over-confidence? Complacency? Hunger? Bad Lighting? I can attribute, attribute, but i STILL LOST!.

I needed my teammates to salvage.

dunno wats the occasion today, but mama is currently whipping up a feast for like, 15 ppl? i spotted roast duck and pork, curry vegetable, fried meatballs. prawnies…

which means… lunch and dinner is settled for me today and tomorrow!!!hope nt many ppl come… i not entertainer u noe…. buahaha

its another week gone….

not much updates from the last……. not that my life is very exciting generally either….

things i remember happened over the week:

1. had good sambal chicken wings @ the usual thai kopitiam with deb and bour;

2. dinner with deb and vs2 at sakae sushi (after failing to get a seat over at sushi tei). i seriously prefer sushi tei anytime pls.

3. sme happening news @ work over the week.my turn coming soon.

4. kena suan-ed by boss for talking too much. yes, i m taking it very very hard.for i tink it was kinda unfair.

5. got my pool t-shirt from the firm, but too big, so i gotta pay an extra 9 bucks (and that is subsidised partially by the Rec Club) to get a smaller size

6. I m swarmed with work (as if that is any new news)

7. i m typing this as the clocks eliminates each minute for work and effectively, my sleep.

Just got back from catching the above with deb and bour.

Three words —> Fucking Good Show.

Next show I like after Les Choristes. Non wonder these french shows always made it to the big screens. Think Deb and bour liked the show too!

Audrey Tautou is a damn good actress. I din manage to catch her first show which made her famous – Amélie, I will try, but she is really good!

The Arthur Capel is also very very handsome (i mean the actor in the show)!!!

Well, I am not a fashion person, i know the brand Chanel, but i must really say that i dun give a damn, i went really purely for my love for the language. But if the show was a true representation of the legend, then i really admire her, for daring to stay close to her beliefs and hanging on to the one key word to what she believed in fashion – Simplicity. Like what myPaper editor said, she was really one unique soul.

wonderful afternoon off

took the noon off, stimulated by bour’s suggestion in the  morning that she also felt like taking the noon off…

really damn tired today…. went in office, could not focus on anything. so it was great pleasure to be outside office at 230 having lunchie, strolling…

we decided to have lunchie at amk hub after buying her shoes near office.lunchie was ok for me… juz a little ex..think it sucked for bour’s assam fish… haha… coffee was good…

but i seriously think bour and me enjoyed the bitching incident on the train…. buahahaha we were boarding the train, since the whole row was free, i decided to take the seat beside the priority seat, then this whole bunch of HK tourists, should be abt 7 of them, splurted out in cantonese, “why are they (us) not taking the priority seat ar? strange” very loudly. They must be thinkg that we do not understand Cantonese. Then one of them moved over to the priority seat. I could have shifted over if they had not made the unneccessary remark, but being dao gias, me and bour stayed put in our seats.

On top of that, we had this exchange of conversation loudly in English mocking at them, also pretending that they do not understand English. Shiok was the word for me.. hahaha

” They must have not understand English – Give the seat to those who need it more”.;)

Then this Malay young guy was carrying his toddler son near the door when bour nudged me to give up my seat. I commented loudly – Nope, my assessment is he does not require us to give up our seat, even if it is required, it should be from the people sitting at the priority seats (insinutating the woman beside me and the two boys in the group).

I know I am evil. But i m gentle unless provoked u know. Later at Braddell, when an old auntie was standing, i gave up my seat for her. I give up my seat to those who NEED it more.

my noon off is not spoilt in fact. It is BLOODY wonderful cuz i m watching my HK serial right here in my workspace.. arr… 人生一大享受….

we had this steamboat at robertson quay (at his recommendation). din realise that the place now quite happening leh… nice place to chill out if u ask me. away from the crazy crowds in the popular areas like orchard….

not bad the steamboat, the portion was enough for me.soup a little too heavy flavoured for me though….

then, we adjourned to Pump room. The normal la.. hahah great fun. met mr woo, haha made us so envious with his working hrs at his new place… he claims that he hasnt gone back office during weekends so far in his 2mths stint. The only time he went back on a Sunday was because he forgot to bring his stuff back and went back to retrieve. good job dude….bleah.

crowds started to flow in slowly after like 1030. din drink much tat day, deb left early too, but nevetheless, i had fun juz sitting there and listening to retro music and chatting with the rest..

fun factor —– > 4 out of 5.

boss’s birthday

a pre-advance birthday celebration with the usual bunch of us at the usual place mongkok. (we celebrated albert’s and ms teoh’s birthday there also).

with this bunch of ppl, u expect no less than lotsa lotsa beer and gibberish talk… hahha, which was realised of course. and boss was extremely farni and generous. thanks to him, the 4 ladies won 50 bucks each and me? lotsa lotsa booze . and u can neber see his crazy side on the 9th floor…

first time cora joined us and we both took on the guys. hahha they are now asking for a rematch.

i got home high, more than the normal days.. hahaha shun tot i was drunk, which i must clarify, i am NOT. cuz i told her it was Sammi’s birthday the next day, which is true and i told her i was sheh, which i knew when i was telling her tat… so hahah nope, i was conscious…

fun factor —> simply for the fact that there was K, pool and booze,  4.999999 out of 5 stars!

newbies night

it started with the noobs…..

thanks to the “charlie angels”, we had our own welcome nite within the dept at the Suntec Guild House to welcome the newbies. But i m seriously of the view that it was juz another excuse to drink. haha..

like bour always saw, fwee beer is always good beer, fwee food is always good food!

being the raffles place people, we applied the “tissue paper” culture everywhere and anywhere. No exceptions. we booked two rooms that day. obviously, the two small rooms weren’t enough to accomodate the whole 60 of us, so we left first to “chop”the open area. imagine, we had about 10 of us occupying 10 tables before all even arrived?

It is always nice to hang ard ppl who are fun and sporting and of cuz, with no extra cost involved!! hahaha

i tink drinking or singing wasn’t my main activity for the day, cam-whoring was. hahaha, i tink i hogged bour’s camera that evening. hahah sorry bour, and  ohohoh hlp me say thanks to kev again for the ride home ar, coupled with in-car entertainment. Oops… hee.. jkg.

tat happened over the past week and last friday…. from the newbies night, to boss birthday, to fkk’s farewell…….I see this as a great introduction to the official commencement of peak.

great ppl, great company, great fun! something that i prolly wudnt see in my last place.
