Its been a while
A short one day break from work and all the visiting of the blogs got me into the writing mood again….
Guess not many interested about updates in my life but wth..
Currently in the travelling mood – Going to visit ms hong in Beijing (read: free accomodation) and joining mon and la teh in Hong Kong subsequently. Actually I am kinda excited that i will be roaming the streets alone in during e day while ms hong goes to work. Depending on how tis trip turns out, i may plan another 自省 trip again after this. But actually, the place i want to go next is London – to get the Mercian bike frame. heh heh.
On the other hand, some shameless travel agency – Dynamikz Travel, has been withholding our money from us. It is a long story, but short of accusing them of cheating, you really would not want to have anything to do with this shady shop if you have any travel plans in mind ya, unless you want to spoil your trip totally. Avoid them at all costs. We emailed them, we called them, we went down in a bunch, we got all sides covered by involving the media (thanks to one of the coordinators who was very proactive and articulate). Still, we are facing difficulties in getting our refunds back up till today since 3 January 2012. Piece of s***.
Also got me hooked on is cycling. Ever since i bought the Louis Garneau, the sporting life has been awesome. I cycled to watch the fireworks at the floating platform on NYE. Then Chan’s friend – Steven went with me on a round island (almost) trip of 56km the next day right on my 2nd ride with LG. Loving it so much that i endeavor to get a fixed gear Mercian for my next ride, but i still love my LG. So excited over the upcoming OCBC event with my group of chummies. Got innocently involved in a controversy right after Chinese New Year. Suck big time. Partly because of my big mouth. Mainly due to the wrong trust I placed in someone. How stupid I can be? This stupid. Lesson learnt – Know who you are talking to and never be such a big mouth again.
Having said all this, I am just so touched by all the offers I got from my 八仙 friends. I just wish that one day I can be financially and physically free. Independence needs to come at a price. Not cheap, but I want it. Desperately.
I am more or less decided otherwise in terms of other aspects of life. If it does not turn out my way, the last resort will be exercised. Enough of being judged and having to be at the mercy of others. Impediment because I am challenged in the looks department is not acceptable and one day, others are going to be sorry. Society continues to evolve and it is ridiculous that our people are still judgmental with their puny brains. Even parents and relatives. Grow up, I would say. To myself first, then the rest.
